Dr Sara Sharma
Geriatrician
Dr. Sara Sharma is a Consultant Geriatrician with extensive experience in acute stroke care, memory clinics, aged care outreach, and rehabilitation, including amputee services and old-age psychiatry. She completed her medical degree at James Cook University and undertook her physician training in Queensland, where she gained expertise in stroke rehabilitation, movement disorders, and the psychiatry of older adults.
With a strong passion for healthy ageing, Dr. Sharma focuses on sarcopenia prevention through resistance training and protein fortification. She takes a holistic and patient-cantered approach to managing dementia, mood disorders, and Parkinson’s disease, ensuring comprehensive and compassionate care for her patients.
Dr. Sharma is an active member of RACP, ANZSGM, the Movement Disorder Society, the Australasian Cognitive Neurology Association, and Incontinence Australia. She is also fluent in Hindi and Punjabi, enabling her to provide culturally sensitive care to a diverse range of patients.
