Dr Somayeh Ebrahimi
Geriatrician
Dr. Somayeh Ebrahimi is a Specialist Geriatrician dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, and person-centred care to older adults.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from James Cook University and has over 10 years of experience in healthcare. She completed her specialist physician training across several major NSW hospitals, including Royal North Shore Hospital, Liverpool Hospital, Campbelltown Hospital, and Bankstown Hospital.
Throughout her career, Dr Somayeh Ebrahimi has developed extensive expertise in the comprehensive assessment and management of complex medical conditions affecting older adults, including cognitive impairment and dementia, delirium, frailty, falls, peri-operative medicine, and palliative care, across both acute and community settings.
She has a particular clinical interest in cognitive rehabilitation, dementia care, and promoting healthy ageing, with a focus on preserving cognitive function, maximising independence, and enhancing quality of life through individualised, multidisciplinary care.
Dr Somayeh Ebrahimi is fluent in Persian (Farsi) and Dari, enabling her to provide culturally sensitive care and communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.
